85 Local Fall Mahjong Tournament
Join us Saturday, November 7, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (5- 55 minute rounds) at Vinny’s for a day of American Mahjong and friendly competition. Space is limited to 32 players.
We’ll play under National Mah Jongg League rules using the 2026 card, with a tournament pace of four games per hour. Players should be comfortable playing independently at that pace. Prizes will be awarded to the top three overall finishers.
Lunch, tea, and water are included. Other drinks will be available to purchase from Vinny’s.
We’ll have an optional 50/25/25 raffle benefiting the Diaper Bank, along with additional prize drawings. Raffle tickets will be sold separately, and the same tickets will be eligible for the additional drawings.
Want to volunteer as East and bring a set? After purchasing your ticket, email 85localaz@gmail.com with your name and order number. We’re looking for a traditional American Mahjong tile set (white or off white tiles- colored backs okay) with racks and a mat—please no novelty or highly stylized tiles. We’ll confirm with you if we need your set.
